Delegations led by Chief of Azerbaijan’s State Border Service, Colonel General Elchin Guliyev and Chief of the Georgian Border Police Teymuraz Kekelidze held a working meeting on the state border in the Shamkir border troops’ service area, State Border Service told ONA.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the operational conditions on the Azerbaijan-Georgia state border, fighting threats to border security, continuing exchange of information and experience, and development of cooperation relations.
The sides positively assessed the dynamics of development of bilateral cooperation, and emphasized that the existing relations between the Azerbaijani and Georgian border agencies contribute to jointly solving the issues related to prevention of illegal activities on the state border.
The meeting was held in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.
